What has been revealed to me, is that God cast Satan "into" the earth making it void and without form. Into explains many things. God is light having darkness surrounded in darkness. Satan is that darkness. God uses darkness as his cloak. Since God cast Satan into the earth it became corrupt, and man was formed of this corruption in the wilderness. He was then taken to the garden, to be tempted, even as Christ was. The whole of creation needs redemption. God is reconciling his creation from death, whom is satan.
