“He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.”
Psalms 147:8 NLT
Yesterday was a day that had us praising God continuously. We’re back in our home state of Colorado, and drove through the San Juan Mountains from Dolores to Ouray. The scenery was stunning - we stopped constantly, snapping photos of the mountains coated with early autumn snow, the colors of the aspen trees, and the ever-changing clouds.
It was a day made for thanking Him for His creation. As this joyful verse from Psalms points out, the immense power of God and His loving care are made visible in His work in nature.
That day has passed and will never come again. We may see even more of the beauty of His creation in the future, but for now we’ll give Him thanks for His handiwork and for giving us the ability to appreciate what He has crafted for us.
