Patient Endurance
Hebrews 10:36 Is your patience being tested? Don’t worry - you will receive all God has promised.
“Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”
Hebrews 10:36 NLT
Is your patience being tested? All of us seem to run into those seasons of our lives when we’re waiting for something to happen. We pray about it, fret about it, do what we can to speed things up, even tell ourselves that “it’ll happen when it happens.” That nagging feeling that something promised is never going to happen is one of the more annoying and prevalent human emotions, which is probably why patience is discussed so often in the Bible.
As you know from my post on March 1, Heaven On Wheels has been posting daily devotionals and prayers for over a year now. I started this mini-ministry after receiving an overwhelming feeling during intercessory prayer that God wanted me to bring more people to Him and also do more for the poor, homeless, and distressed souls Barb and I encounter on our trips.
I enthusiastically responded to God! I knew from previous experience with websites and blogs that it could take a while for Heaven On Wheels to grow, but I had visions of thousands of readers within a year. Well, we’re not even close to that number and sometimes my patience wears thin, but then I remember — we’re here to do God’s will, and He will provide all He has promised!
Patient endurance is needed in all sorts of life situations. Sometimes we’re praying for a broken relationship to be fixed, for healing or release of an ill friend or relative, for a financial situation to be eased, or depression or anxiety to dissipate. Through it all, we should continue to do what God wants us to do, with the full knowledge that in His own time and His own way, He will help us.
Soon Barb and I will be hitting the road again in our little RV, which we have also named Heaven On Wheels. Please pray for us and with us for safe journeys and opportunities to bring the Good News to those we meet throughout the USA. And please do your best to share these daily devotionals with as many people as you can!
Heaven On Wheels Daily Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word, with all of the warnings and encouragement it provides for building my spiritual wisdom and maturity as a believer. I pray that my faith, patience, and endurance continues to multiply as I wait eagerly for Your promises to be fulfilled. With all of my heart, mind and soul I thank You, Jesus Christ my Savior. AMEN.
Safe and prayerful travels to you and Barb. You may never know how many people you help. Thank you.
Thank you! Just the words I needed to hear today!!! 🙌
