Don’t love money
Hebrews 13:5, in which you find out why the stressful pursuit of money isn’t necessary
Tuesday, April 26, 2022
Do you find yourself stressing out about money? Don’t. The author of Hebrews, often thought to be a friend of Paul’s named Priscilla, gives us timeless advice:
“Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.””
Hebrews 13:5
Chasing the almighty dollar has probably caused more anxiety and ruined more relationships than almost any other factor we face day to day. Being satisfied with what you have might mean you don’t buy that Porsche or move into a bigger house, but those things have no worth to you in the long run. After all, are you going to be able to drive that Porsche when you’re dead?
