I love Proverbs. It’s full of wisdom, although I sometimes feel like I’m Agur, son of Jakeh, who said “I am too stupid to be human, and I lack common sense.” 😜
Agur asked God for two favors before he died, and I have to admit that they’re pretty decent things to ask for:
“First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.”
Proverbs 30:8 NLT
What are you asking God for today? Lying has a way of coming back to haunt the liar, so asking Him to help you speak nothing but the truth is worth a short prayer.
